Then we're subtracting the sine of 60 degrees, which is the square root of 3 over 2, and multiplying that by the sine of 45 degrees, which is again the square root of 2 over 2. Now from here all that's left to do is algebra. So let's go ahead and multiply each of these fractions across. Now one half times root 2 over 2 gives me root 2 over 4 multiplying across the numerator and the denominator. Then from that, I'm subtracting root 3 over 2 times root 2 over 2, which gives me a root 6 over 4. Now these have a common denominator. So I can go ahead and combine these fractions with that common denominator, giving me root 2 a minus root 6 over 4, and this is my final answer.
