For our given function F of X is equal to two X to the sixth power minus 16 X to the fifth power plus 27 X Q minus five X squared plus 11 X plus one. Here we have four answer choice options. Answer B positive real zeros two or zero, negative real zeros, one non-real complex zeros two or four. And answer D positive real zeros two or zero, negative real zeros three or one and non-real complex zeros zero or four. So here looking at our given function, we can first determine the amount of possible positive real zeros by finding these sine variations of F of X. So here going from the first to the second term, we see we go from a positive to a negative. And so this is already one sign variation. Then from the second to the third term, we go from a negative to a positive. So we have a second sign variation. Then from the third to the fourth term, we go from a positive to a negative, which is our third sign variation. And then we go from the negative to a positive, from the fourth to the fifth term, which is our fourth sign variation. And lastly, we go from a positive to a positive. So there is no additional sign variation. And this tells us that the variation of F of X is equal to four. Well, this variation of four tells us that we could have four positive real zeros.
