Hello. Today we're going to be expanding of scientific notation as a decimal notation. So the scientific notation given to us is 5. times 10 to the fourth power. Now the important thing to note is the exponent that 10 is raised to 10 is raised to the power of positive four and that tells us two things. One, we're going to be moving this decimal to the positive direction which is the right hand side. And because it's raised to the fourth power, we're going to be moving the decimal positively four times. So let's go ahead and do that. So 5.8 We're gonna be moving this decimal four times to the right. So that's 123 and four. And for every time we're moving this decimal to the right, this number is getting bigger by 10 times. So we'll fill in each of these gaps with zero. And so just to clean this up, once we move this decimal to the right, four times the resulting number is going to be 58,000. And that's gonna be the decimal notation of the scientific notation.
