Welcome back. I am so glad you're here. We are given this expression 35 K plus 77 we are asked to factor it. Will we recall from previous lessons that we're going to look at these two terms here that are being added together. And we are going to ask ourselves if they share any factors, if they have anything in common. And more specifically, we'll be looking at the parts that are similar. So we'll be comparing whole numbers to whole numbers and so we ask ourselves to 35 and 77 share any common factors and if you're ever unsure you can always build a factor tree. 35 that's five times seven and 77 that's seven times 11. And they do both share a seven. They are both divisible by seven. So seven is the greatest common factor that we can pull out of there. So we factor out of seven, we put that in front of parentheses and then we do the division that we've set up here. So 35 divided by seven that equals five. And so we have a five and that five is still times the K. There weren't any factors between a K and a non existent K over here. So we couldn't factor out the K. And that needs to stay in the parentheses. So we have five K there from the first term and then we do the divided by seven which is 11. So it'll be five K plus bring down that plus 11. And that is as factored as it's going to get seven times five K plus 11. We look at our answer choices and that matches with answer choice B. Well done, We'll catch you on the next one.
