So taking a look at our given fraction here we have 7/9. Now our first step is to convert this fraction to its equivalent desk Expression. So if we recall to do this we just take the numerator and divide it by the denominator. So here we have seven divided by nine which gives us the decimal expression of 0.7777. And the seven continues to repeat. So now that we have our equivalent decimal expression we can go ahead and rewrite it using bar notation. Well if we recall with bar notation, all we have to do is write the decimal expression with a bar over the repeating value. So in this case looking at our decimal here we can see that the seven repeats on and on. So we can go ahead and rewrite this expression, you Bar notation and it will be 0.7 with a bar placed over these seven value again because it is the repeating value. So now that we have found one of our solutions we can go ahead and move on to taking our equivalent decimal expression and rounding it to the nearest 100th place value. So since we are rounding to the hundreds place we need to look at the place value to the right which is the thousands place value. Well in our thousands place value we have the value seven. Well seven is greater than five. So we know we need to round up and since we are rounding up, we need to add one To our hundreds place. So with this we can write our rounded decimal expression which is 0.78 again because we add one to the hundreds place.
