Hello everyone. We're gonna solve the linear equation. Seven X plus six equals x minus six. I'm gonna rewrite it. So that way I have it with a little bit more space. So I recall that I want to get all my variables to one side. All my constants to the other. I like to move my variables first but you can move your constants first if that makes you happier I recall that X is the same as one X. And since it's positive I'm going to move it across the equal sign by doing the opposite of subtracting. So it cancels out on my right hand side and on my left hand side seven X minus one X. Gives me six X. And I'm just gonna bring down my constants. So I now have six X plus six equals negative six. Next I want to move the constant of Plus 6 to the right hand side. I'm gonna do that by again doing the opposite. So it was a positive. So the opposite subtracting. So I subtract six from both sides. On the left hand side I have six X. On the right hand side. I now have minus 12 because six negative six minus six and one more step to get the X. By itself. Right now this is six times X. The opposite of multiplication is division. So we will divide both sides by six. Leaving me with one X. Or just X. On the left hand side And -12 divided by six will give me -2 on the right hand side. And that is our solution X equals negative two, which is answer choice C. Have a nice day.
