Welcome back. I am so glad you're here. We are given this fraction 1733rd and were asked to write it as its percentage equivalent. Will we recall from previous lessons that to write a fraction as its percentage equivalent. We are going to multiply that fraction times 100%. So we can rewrite the 100% as a fraction. 100 over 1%. And now we can multiply straight across our enumerators and our denominators because we're multiplying two fractions. So 17 times 100. That's 1733 times one is 33. Bring down our percent. Well, we put into a calculator 1700 divided by 33. And we're going to get something like 51. Maybe for our answer. And what is that saying? 51515152. Well actually this 51 is going to repeat forever but the calculator said, I am not going to repeat forever. I'm going to round this to two at the end here. But what we really, truly have is 51. repeating percent. And that is our answer when we get when we're dealing with percents and fractions. It's always a good idea to ask ourselves. Does this answer make sense? Does 51.51 repeating make sense for the fraction 17 33rd? Well, 17 33rd is really close to 17 34th which is one half, 17 33rd is really close to one half and one half as a percentage. one half is 50% that's half. And so 1733rd as 51.51% does make sense. It's very close to 50%. So we look at our answer choices in this matches with answer choice, a well done, we'll catch you on the next one.
